ADI Management Team Celebrate 3/4 of a Century of Dedicated Service

ADI’s Three Departmental Managers are congratulated on their 25-year long service awards

ADI’s Three Departmental Managers are congratulated on their 25-year long service awards

In a recent “rush” of long service awards ADI Treatments has seen all three department heads reach this milestone in recent months.

Gordon Walker (Quality Manager), Karle Tyler (Production Manager) and, most recently, Angela Welton (Accounts Manager) have all been recognised for their long and dedicated service.

Gordon Joined ADI not long after completing his B.Eng in Metallurgy and Materials Science at the University of Liverpool, and after a short stint at another Heat Treatment company. His commitment to driving the quality procedures at ADI, coupled with his in-depth knowledge of our processes and customer requirements, were instrumental in the company achieving ISO9001 accreditation. His continued focus on driving excellence to achieve top quality outcomes for our customers, often by bringing his experience and knowledge to bear on creating “outside of the box” solutions to difficult problems, remains the bedrock on which the company`s continued commitment to excellence sits. ADI prides itself on being a company that delivers world class heat treatment solutions to our customers, and Gordon`s input over the last 25 years in ensuring we achieve the highest standards (many of which he has defined) has been instrumental in allowing us to set and maintain the highest levels in Quality standards and service.

Karle is a shining example of a “home grown” talent after taking the reins in his most recent post as Production Manager on the back of holding practically every production related role in the business at some point in his 25-year tenure. If we were to stop and consider the number of parts Karle has personally put through one of our production processes during his time at ADI, and the number of machines/installations running today with components he has personally taken responsibility for heat treating, it becomes apparent that the last 25 years have seen Karle produce an unfathomable tonnage of heat treatment. His commitment to pushing for efficiency and excellence in all his roles underpins and exemplifies his “let’s get stuff done” attitude that has driven increased output in every role he has committed himself to. Karle continues to strive and push for better efficiencies and applies his commitment to challenging himself and the status quo to bring improvements and garner positive change.

Angela joined ADI on the back of a move from hands on production related roles to her challenging herself to retrain in accounting and taking her AAT and CIMA qualifications. It is fair to say that Angela has taken the company though a long journey to continually improve and perfect our accountancy practices in line with evolving requirements, methods, and best practice. Her in depth knowledge of the company`s finances, across all departments, and at all levels of the business, have been instrumental in allowing the company to weather challenges that have seen many other businesses of our size struggle, or even close. She often acts as the back stop “reality check” to keep the company focussed and protected, across all areas of the business, and her ability to see potential issues, and give solutions to adhere to best practice and avoid "hidden traps", is a skill that has helped the company avoid potential pit falls on myriad occasions over the last 25 years.

A combined 75 years of dedicated service across key departments in the business is a contribution that is almost immeasurable. ADI would not be the business it is today without the hard work and dedication of members of staff like Gordon, Karle and Angela. Their combined effect on, and input to the company over the last 25 years cannot be overstated.

The Directors would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them on, and thank them for, their commitment, service, dedication, and hard work over the last 25 years.
