Simon Day - Managing Director

Simon has an extensive background, of over 30 years, in the heat treatment industry holding directorships in Production, Quality as well as Sales and Marketing. He has been Managing Director since December 1999; building and leading a team from scratch, with a mission to establish ADI as the material of choice for high strength, low weight engineering applications. Simon is a past Chairman and current Senior Vice-Chairman of the UK Contract Heat Treatment Association.

Arron Rimmer - Business Development Director

Arron received his BSc (Hons) in Metallurgy in 1991 from the University of Manchester and continued in the Metallurgy Department receving his MSc in 1992 and PhD in 1994. His MSc and PhD related to the Austempering of Ductile and Compacted irons. He joined ADI Treatments in 1997 and became a Director of the company in 1999. 

Paul Ingram - Operations Manager

Paul has been involved in heat treatment since his time as an ONC Apprentice Metallurgist in 1982 and has held a variety of positions in heat treatment organisations since then including Assisatant and Chief Inspector (84-88), Production Manager (88-92), Cell Manager (92-96) and Sales Manager (96-98), with a brief stint as a business owner offering furnace refurbishment, design and contract maintenance in 1998-1999. He has been in his current role as Operations Manager at ADI Treatments since 1999. Paul has an NVQ level 4 (HND equivalent) in Business Studies and a NEBOSH General Certificate. Paul is also the Management representative for ISO 45001, 18001, 14001 and PAS 99. 

Gordon Walker - Quality Manager

Gordon recieved his B.Eng in Metallurgy and Materials Science from the University of Liverpool and went straight into a quality role at another heat treatment company. Gordon moved to ADI Treatments as Quality Manager in 2000. Gordon is the Management Representative for ISO 9001.

Mick Mulhall - Production Manager

MIck has worked in the heat treatment industry since 1982 and has held various posts in that time ranging from furance operative and shift & cell supervisor up to his current position as Production Manager at ADI treatments. Mick moved from his supervisory position to his current role in 2008 and has a large input in the running of the despatch dpeartment in addition to his production role.

John Southall - Continuous Improvement & Compliance Manager

John joined the company as a furnace operator in 2009 and made a rise through the ranks to Senior Supervisor, a position he held from 2013 to 2018. The company recognised the need for a continous improvement role and John was successful at interview to take on this new challenge in mid 2018. The scope of the role has recently developed to include managing compliance issues in conjunction with the continuous improvement role. John is a certified Lean SIx Sigma Green Belt and is working towards his Black Belt accreditation.

Angela Welton - Accounts Manager

After working in manufacturing roles for a number of years Angela decided she would like a new challenge and retrained in accounting by taking her AAT and CIMA qualifications. Angela is a member of CIMA and joined ADI Treatments in 2001.

Sue Hodgkins - Disptach Clerk

Sue initially joined ADI as a general operative to help with the make up of furnace loads for treatment in 2003. As the company grew it became clear that a dedicated dispatch clerk was required and Sue was successful at interview to take on this important role, one she has been performing since 2007.
