Dr Arron Rimmer of ADI Treatments attended the 76th World Foundry Congress (WFC), held in Istanbul, Turkey, where keynote speeches and technical presentations took place over three days.
The congress featured several presentations on Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) and the latest material development, Isothermed Ductile Iron (IDI), which is proposed for inclusion in the European standard EN 1563. These discussions highlighted ongoing developments in foundry technology and the continued evolution of ductile iron materials.

Dr Rimmer also joined fellow delegates on stage during the closing celebrations of the 76th World Foundry Congress, marking the 100th anniversary of the World Foundry Organization (WFO) — a significant milestone for the international foundry industry.

Following the congress, Dr Rimmer attended the CEN/TC 190 Standards Plenary Meeting, representing the UK. Delegates from Germany, France, Italy, Portugal and Turkey also participated in the meeting, bringing together representatives from across Europe to discuss foundry standards.
ADI Treatments is pleased to be represented at key international industry events, supporting the continued development of foundry technology and contributing to discussions shaping the future of the sector.
