Working increasingly with first tier automotive and components manufacturers, ADI Treatments Ltd recognises the need to offer the best contemporary standards. Recently the company was awarded ISO 9001:2000 status for its customised heat treatment services. The approval reinforces ADI Treatment's capabilities, particularly in austempering and annealing Ductile Iron and alloy steel products.
Paul Ingram, Works Manager, spoke enthusiastically about the new standard, "The ADI team has long experience of Quality Assurance in the heat treatment industry. We believe that ISO 9001 is a big improvement; for the first time it opens us up to factory wide assessment. We are judged not only on the production processes, there are mandatory maintenance and housekeeping procedures and even contractors and auxiliary services are covered. A Non-Compliance can be triggered just as easily by an untidy factory as by an error in the heat treatment procedure. As an operational manager I welcome this discipline and we have already seen the benefits to the business".
